About the Role

This role supports the Supply and Planning team by leading business analysis from early initiative planning through to deployment. Working closely with supply chain stakeholders, and delivery teams, the Business Analyst facilitates inception and requirements workshops, translates business needs into clear user stories with acceptance criteria and non‑functional requirements, and manages the story backlog end‑to‑end. Acting as the day‑to‑day glue for the agile team, the role ensures priorities are clear, ceremonies run smoothly, impediments are removed, and delivery stays focused on improving supply chain outcomes, and speed to value.

This role is a 6 month contract.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead requirements workshops with Supply chain stakeholders to elicit, validate, and document business needs.
  • Analyse requirements and translate them into clear user stories with acceptance criteria, scenarios, and non‑functional requirements.
  • Run story kick-offs and maintain story clarity by managing updates, changes, and traceability across the team.
  • Support vendor evaluation by contributing to RFI/RFP activities and assessing product capability against requirements.
  • Manage and optimise the scope/backlog by facilitating estimation, prioritisation, and scope trading to meet delivery constraints.
  • Assist with business acceptance testing (UAT) and coordinate inputs into deployment planning and readiness.
  • Research new product features/initiatives and draft problem statements, goals, and MVP-focused solution options aligned to organisational outcomes.
  • Facilitate inception activities including As‑Is/To‑Be process mapping, scope boundaries, story mapping/story creation, NFR capture, prioritisation, and estimation.
  • Own and tailor the agile ways of working, including facilitating ceremonies and improving flow by slicing work, unblocking bottlenecks, and limiting WIP.
  • Track and communicate delivery progress (metrics, iteration/release planning), escalating risks/issues/dependencies and driving continuous improvement and team engagement.

Who we’re looking for

At our company, we value not only our great brands but also the people and teams that drive our success. In addition to technical skills, we seek team members who possess the following personable qualities:

  • Proven experience leading requirements end‑to‑end — from inception and problem definition through to deployment, including story writing, acceptance criteria, and non‑functional requirements.
  • Strong backlog and scope management capability, including estimation, prioritisation, scope trade‑offs, and supporting iteration and release planning.
  • Hands‑on agile delivery experience, owning or heavily contributing to ceremonies (stand‑ups, planning, retrospectives) and keeping work flowing through the delivery lifecycle.
  • Experience supporting UAT and go‑live activities, including impact analysis on business processes and coordination with delivery and business teams.

What we offer

  • The chance to join a great team of like-minded, hard-working people who are passionate about achieving our vision and the growth objectives of the company.
  • Flexible working environment, allowing for work from home day/s each week.
  • A competitive salary package and suite of benefits and perks, including a 50% discount on our brands Hard Yakka, KingGee and NNT and 5% Wesfarmers discount for Kmart, Bunnings, Officeworks and more.
